The list of candidates consists of the top 80 world football names for 2021. The year before, users gave more than 10 million votes to their favorites, on the basis of which a unique list of the world's best players was compiled. Voting began last night and runs until 10:59 Moscow time on 18 January 2022.
The final squad for Team of the Year will be announced at a later date, and FIFA 22 Ultimate Team will feature TOTY special versions of players with top ratings, highlighting the status of each team member of the year as the world's best player, following the voting results.
